The Old Ranger at Trailpatrol.org

The Old Ranger's Campfire

Starting June 1, 2026, educational content from "The Old Ranger's Campfire Blog" will be posted here on Trailpatrol.org, and on the "Old Ranger's Backcountry Podcast" on YouTube. The reason for this is that both pages have become largely educational, covering the same topics, and the Backcountry Trail Patrol site has moved away from mountain bike patrol, and into backcountry safety education, trail care, and preserving, protecting, and advocating for our public forest lands and resources. I hope you will enjoy the content!
